Photos of our travels

In the future I will be better about writing what we are up to, but for now, here are a few photos of what we have been doing so far.

Our rockin’ rental car, which became much less rockin’ once we saw how narrow the roads are and how tight the turns are. We tried to exchange it, but without success. One more week on this baby. At least it has navigation.

Speaking of the narrow roads….see the car coming toward us? This is a 2 way street:

The cat’s new sitting position:

Not sure how this goober got lucky enough to go to Italy:

Example Number 1 of my lack of language skills. I need to learn the word for “french fries” to make sure they don’t appear in any more of my sandwiches:

Catania at Night:

If you need any motivation to book a plane ticket, this is going to be our balcony:

Ficarra, an old Arab city built on three hills:

You know you’re somewhere old when they have to specify that 2007 is A.D.:

Aci Trezza. Beautiful even on a cloudy day. These are the Cyclops Rocks from the Odyssey:

The Valley of the Temples outside of Agrigento. The site is full of old Greek ruins:IMG_6304

I’m cracking up at that french fry sandwich! I’m sure you’ll get a hang of the language with more practice, especially with the incentive to learn about all the delicious food there is! Thanks so much for sharing your pics and thoughts. We’re happy you’re enjoying it so far and settling in! Love you guys!
